Hello Sir is delving into the lives of the Gentleman of Canberra. This week we caught up with former Master Chef contestant Trent Harvey, an electrician with a passion for food.
What's your nickname? TH. I was called Trish for a bit, but don't really have one.
If you had a warning label, what would yours say? TH. Don't f*c# with something you can't kill! Joking....sort of....
If you could travel anywhere tomorrow, where would you go? TH. I love travelling and would be happy to go anywhere new, but if I had to pick one place it would be Vietnam as it's been on the wish list for a while now.
If you were a woman for a day, what's one thing you would you do? TH. If I was anything like my wife I would probably spend all of our money on dresses that I didn't really like or don't fit properly and then put them all in the cupboard never to be worn or returned!
If you got stuck in an elevator and were forced to listen to only one song, what would it be? TH. I definitely get a bit obsessive when it comes to music and can happily listen to the same song over and over and over, until I get to the point where I never want to listen to it again. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm really into country music at the moment, so You Make it Easy by Jason Aldean.
What weird food combination do you enjoy?
TH. Anchovies and lamb! Surprisingly they go really well together.
If you had visitors, what Canberra attraction would you say can't be missed? TH. A hike/bushwalk somewhere. I've taken visitors to Tidbinbilla in the past and I think for people that are into the outdoors I feel like Canberra has a lot to offer. Also can't go past Canberra's food scene, so maybe a nice restaurant or a wine tour.
Where do you go for your favourite meal in Canberra? TH. eightysix is a strong favourite.
What is one thing that irritates you about Canberra? TH. Traffic! I know Canberra is comparatively good compared to most other capital cities, but traffic is one thing that frustrates me daily.
What's your favourite getaway within the surrounding region? TH. A predictable answer, but I love the coast. You can't beat a couple of days at the beach to wind down and clear your mind. I'm also into fishing and diving, so the coast is perfect.
What's the last event you attended in Canberra? TH. The Forage
Beach or Snow? Beach
Early Bird or Night Owl? Early Bird
Vanilla or Chocolate? Vanilla
Netflix or Kindle? Netflix
Burger or Pizza? Burger
Sweet or Savoury? Savory
Pushups or Pullups? Pullups If you could jump into a pool full of something what would it be? TH. Water.
