Amy is a Canberra local and the face behind Deep Blue Ceramics. Through her explorations in clay, she has found a way to combine creativity, mindfulness and art.

Working from her home studio, a beautifully converted shipping container, Amy creates a considered and personal range of planters, dining ware and custom designs. Her products can be ordered directly, seen on the shelves at Scullin Traders and her planters are regularly used by the Canberra plant delivery service, Planted.

Amy has a strong focus on sustainability in everything that she does, both in her ceramics and lifestyle. Deep Blue Ceramics naturally encompasses her passion for sustainability.

“In the studio we recycle and reuse all excess clay, water and tools. All of our packaging is sustainably sourced, compostable and in most cases made from recycled paper and cardboard. Our stickers are eco-friendly, produced from gumtree cellulose.”

Alongside Deep Blue Ceramics, Amy also explores the connection between creative arts and pleasure through her sister company, Deeper Blue Ceramics. It is here that Amy creates bespoke pieces for sex-positive customers.

“Our pieces can enrich your sexual experience, physically and emotionally, for pleasure and for health, alone or with a partner. You are the master of your own pleasure, explore it, enjoy it.”
